Please note that this function does not work with all cell phone service providers; please check with yours to see if it is supported.
You can send alert messages to your text-enabled cell phone by entering the message address of your phone into the Email field of your PMC options panel on the Personal Settings page.
For example, you can send a text message to a Nextel® phone by sending an email to the recipient's phone number at @messaging.nextel.com. If your phone number was 555-555-1212, then to receive text messages you would send emails to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once you've entered the correct number, click the Save my settings button.
Cellular providers have different addresses for their text messaging services; please check with your provider for the correct address and format to use with your service.
